Is the card machine free?
No – "FreeCardMachine" is our name, not a price. Card readers have a low one-off price (from £9.99 inc. VAT) with no monthly fees, and SumUp charges 1.69% per transaction.
Are there monthly fees on card readers?
No. Card readers have a one-off price and no monthly fees – you only pay SumUp's 1.69% per transaction. EPOS software and TapDonate devices are monthly plans.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Card readers are bought outright with no contract. EPOS software and TapDonate devices are on monthly plans – see each product and our Terms & Conditions.

Which card reader should I buy?
The SumUp Solo Lite (£9.99) is the lowest-cost option and works with the SumUp app on your phone. Choose the SumUp Solo with SIM (£69.99) if you need a standalone machine for taxis and mobile trading, or the SumUp Air (£17.99) as a compact phone-connected reader.
How will my order be delivered?
